Privacy policy

Last updated: 7 October 2026.

This policy explains what Aaratrika (operated by Avenza Creations Private Limited, "we", "us") collects when you visit aaratrika.store or buy from us, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is written in keeping with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the rules made under it on sensitive personal data, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Information we collect

  • What you give us when you order or join the waitlist: your name, email address, phone number, delivery address and billing address.
  • What is needed to complete a purchase: your order details and payment status. Your card, UPI or bank details are entered on our payment partner's secure page and are never seen or stored by us.
  • What you send us: messages to support@aaratrika.store, waitlist sign-ups, and any details you share when you ask for help with an order.
  • What your visit tells us: the pages you open, the device and browser you use, and your approximate location from your IP address, collected through cookies and similar tools described below.

How we use information

  • To take, pack, deliver and support your order, and to send you its confirmation and tracking.
  • To answer your questions and resolve problems with an order.
  • To tell you when something you joined the waitlist for is available, and, if you agreed, to write to you now and then about the House. Every such email has an unsubscribe link.
  • To keep the store safe, prevent fraud and meet our legal duties, including tax and consumer-protection law.
  • To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We use them to keep your cart and your sign-in while you shop (necessary cookies), and to understand how visitors use the site (analytics cookies). You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the store will still work, though your cart may not be remembered between visits.

Third-party services

We work with a small number of partners, each of whom receives only what their work needs:

  • Shopify, which hosts the store and processes orders.
  • Razorpay, which takes payment. Your payment details are handled by Razorpay under its own privacy policy.
  • Delivery partners, who receive your name, address and phone number to deliver your order.
  • Email services, which send order emails and, if you agreed, our occasional letters.

These partners may process information outside India under contracts that require them to protect it.

Our relationship with Shopify

The store is hosted by Shopify, which processes information about your visits and purchases in order to provide and improve the service to us. Some of that processing, such as the fraud checks and the shopping features Shopify offers across the stores it hosts, is Shopify's own responsibility. Shopify explains it in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy, and you can exercise your rights over that processing through the Shopify Privacy Portal.

Data security

The store is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Payments are handled by partners who meet the Payment Card Industry standards; we never hold your card or bank details. Access to order information inside our business is limited to the people who need it to serve you. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care and will tell you and the authorities if a breach affecting you ever occurs, as the law requires.

How long we keep information

We keep order records for as long as tax and company law require, which in India is generally eight years. Waitlist and marketing details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Messages to support are kept for as long as needed to resolve your matter.

Your rights

You may ask us at any time to show you the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it where we are not required by law to keep it, to withdraw consent for marketing, or to raise a grievance about how it has been handled. Write to support@aaratrika.store. We will respond within the time the law allows, and in any case within 30 days.

Our Grievance Officer is Avinash Kaushik, who can be reached at support@aaratrika.store or at the address below.

Children

The store is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their details, write to us and we will delete them.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the new version is published here with its date. Continuing to use the store after a change means you accept it.
